We’re very happy to be doing some catering with a difference this weekend for a brilliant event at The Doodle Bar, a fantastic creative hub in Battersea.
Make Food will be providing brunch options as well as some interactive food activities for this month’s Storytime Sunday – a lovely event organised in partnership with leading leading illustration agency The Bright Group that gives children the chance to meet and connect with the illustrators that make their reading so special.
This month’s Storytime Sunday is going to see a rare appearance of award winning & globally loved author/illustrator Benji Davies leading a feast of creative activities including an exclusive reading of Benji’s new and celebrated picture book Grandad’s Island and craft activities.
To celebrate Benji’s work, Make Food is going to be recreating the magic of wonderful seaside picnics, with delicious pastries, freshly made sandwiches with home made pickles and a Bucket and Spade salad bar.
For sweet options we’ll also be encouraging children to start stretching their cake decorating muscles by making their own storm whale cupcakes with homemade marshmallow fondant.
We think that children’s events and parties are a fantastic opportunity for them to start discovering the joy of making their own food and choices and we hope this event will be a great platform for spreading the Make Food alternative to kid’s catering.
If you’d like to join in all of the fun, tickets are free but the last two Storytime Sunday’s have sold out so get onto Eventbrite and book your place now.
