A big part of our philosophy is connecting with parents and working with families to help give confidence and ideas for household cooking.
We know how exhausting it can be to plan, budget and shop for a family, before you’ve even got to the cooking stage after a long day at work. One of the aims of Make Food classes is to give children useful experience of cooking, so they can start understanding food more and playing a part in all stages family meals from the planning to, preparing and keeping the kitchen tidy.
During the workshop the family will cook dishes that can be taken home and enjoyed together. Families also receive some simple recipe cards and information sheets on batch cooking and freezing to help them planning weekday meals.
These classes run during the summer holidays and weekends and previous venues have included Classroom on the Coast, The Beacon and London Cooking Project.
